It's finally Summer!

The last couple weeks we offically had Summer in Portland! It was chilly and rainy for most of June.....but once July came around, temps creeped up into the 70's and Oregonian's took off their windbreakers and enjoyed the sun! Here are a couple of ways I've been enjoying the warmer weather....

Making iced espresso in a mason jar. It just tastes better in a mason jar!

Feeding my niece ice cream for the 1st time! She tried Salt & Straw's blueberry ice cream and did.not.love.it. She made a funny face and refused to try it---so we gave her some cereal puffs instead:)
Salt & Straw was just as packed as ever---we waited forever for our ice cream! But it's so worth it. If you haven't tried this place, YOU MUST!

Sweet watermelon---such a delicious summer treat!

Another summer activity was wine tasting/cheese & cracker eating at Tori Mor Vineyard in Oregon Wine Country. They have an amazing deck with great views and you can bring a picnic!

And lastly---teaching Mat Pilates classes on rooftop terrace with this amazing view! It's actually a 360 view of Portland so this doesn't really do it justice. My classes have begun to thrive in this nice, beautiful weather and I enjoy it more and more each time! Read this post if you'd like more info. All of you are welcome to attend my class!

What summer activities have you been up to??

ah, I love the weather! Last summer was seriously AWFUL so I am so happy to just have anything other than that.

I have yet to go to Salt and Straw but my bf has gone a lot- I have heard so many things about it! I just love the name of it mainly.

Everything is better in a mason jar.

I love watermelon (just cut a bunch myself!), Torii Mor and that view!
